Transfer Station

Located at Bingham and 12 Mile Road

As of August 6 random checks will occur regarding your transfer station permit card.

Spring and summer hours (April 1st thru November 30th) are as follows:

Wednesdays - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturdays - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sundays - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

Fall and winter hours (December 1st thru March 31st) are as follows:

Wednesdays - 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Saturdays - 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Sundays - 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The 'Transfer Station' is for disposal of household refuse. Please, remember to recycle. Information available at the 'Transfer Station'. NO medical waste, dirt, leaves, grass clippings, liquids, pesticides, or other hazardous materials accepted. You must present a Merrill Township Transfer Station I.D. card when you use the 'Transfer Station'. Cards may be obtained from the Township Office.

Tire acceptance details

Merrill Township will now be excepting tires at the Transfer station on the First Saturday of each Month.

    Tires will have to be cut in half to be able to be accepted. If they are not cut in half they will not be accepted at this time.

    This is for non commercial use only. If you are a commercial entity and are in need, there are other options available. Please contact the Township Supervisor for that information.
